How Many Days in Syria? Suggested Itineraries
How long to spend in Syria — 3-day, 5-day, one-week and 10-day itineraries, what you can realistically see, and how to get around with a private driver.

"How many days do I need in Syria?" depends on what you want to see. Distances are reasonable, but the honest rule is that your arrival and departure days count. Here are realistic itineraries.
3 days — Damascus & around
- Day 1: Old Damascus — the Umayyad Mosque, the souks, courtyard houses.
- Day 2: Maaloula and the monastery town of Saidnaya.
- Day 3: Bosra or the mountain resorts.
5 days — Damascus + the coast or Aleppo
The three days above, plus two more: either the coast (Latakia and a castle, overnight) or Aleppo (overnight, 4 hours each way).
One week — the balanced trip
Damascus and around, the coast with the castles (Krak des Chevaliers), and Homs and Hama on the way back.
10 days — the wider country
All of the above, plus Aleppo and Palmyra for those who want the desert.
Getting around
Don't over-pack the days — far destinations need an overnight, not a day trip. We build a private trip around your days, with an airport pickup to start.
Wherever your road leads, we'll get you there.
